Área en Vivo Lab is a strategic platform designed to enhance the visibility of local artists and strengthen the position of Bogotá-Region as a UNESCO Creative City of Music.

‘Gloria in Excelsis’ - Iuventus Vocal Group and Film’s Dreams Colombia Orchestra
Under the direction of Juan Carlos Mariño Leongómez, the Iuventus Vocal Group and the Film's Dreams Colombia Orchestra present a concert featuring three essential works of Baroque sacred music: Vivaldi's "Gloria," Bach's cantata "Despertad, nos llama la voz" (Awake, the voice calls us), and the renowned "Hallelujah," the most popular part of Handel's oratorio "Messiah."

Composed in 1692 by Henry Purcell, with an anonymous libretto inspired by Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, this Baroque opera was hidden for centuries until its rediscovery in the 20th century. In this presentation, the French foundation Les Arts Florissants—renowned for promoting Baroque music and culture—offers a semi-staged production where dance, text, and music come together to revive this iconic masterpiece of European music.
Nabucco - Opera by Giuseppe Verdi with libretto by Temistocle Solera
Based on the biblical story of the Babylonian King Nebuchadnezzar and the exile of the Jews, this opera by Giuseppe Verdi has become a universal tale. Themes of hope and national dignity serve as the backdrop for some of the Italian composer’s most famous arias, including the iconic chorus “Va, pensiero.” This production will be conducted by Yeruham Scharovsky, with stage direction by Pedro Salazar, and features the participation of the National Symphony Orchestra of Colombia and the National Choir of Colombia..

Dessert and Bread Festival
From August 16 to 17, El Country Park in Usaquén will become the meeting place for lovers of freshly baked bread, artisanal desserts, and stories cooked in the heat of the oven. The 2025 Dessert and Bread Festival will take place here, an event that pays tribute to Bogotá's bakers and pastry chefs, guardians of a craft that nourishes the soul and local identity.

Bogotá Philharmonic Orchestra - An unbeatable trilogy: Blanca Uribe, Helvia Mendoza and Teresita Gómez
The Bogotá Philharmonic Orchestra pays tribute to three great Colombian pianists who left their mark on the history of classical music in the country: Blanca Uribe (Bogotá, born 1940), Helvia Mendoza (Cartagena, born 1936), and Teresita Gómez (Medellín, born 1943). In the concert program, each pianist will perform a solo piece with the orchestra, conducted by Carlos Ágreda: Uribe will perform Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 3, Mendoza will perform Mozart's Piano Concerto No. 20, and Gómez will perform Mendelssohn's Piano Concerto No. 1.
