A group of mystics make a stop in the middle of the night in the desert of Rajasthani, India, to share with the public their most precious yoga: music and stories. The OSESP, along with Brazilian conductor Wagner Polistchuk, presents a concert featuring soprano Betty Garcés and the National Choir of Colombia. This program offers a sensory journey through the Amazon, showcasing composers inspired by the vibrant nature of the Americas. The concert will also include a visual concept by Marcello Dantas. This concert by Q-Arte, one of Colombia's most renowned string quartets, features two Latin American composers and two unique cultural traditions. The first composer is Mexican Gabriela Ortiz, who created a piece dedicated to the Day of the Dead. The second is Colombian Carolina Noguera, who prepared a work inspired by Colombia's Caribbean Coast.

A percussion quartet that has been a staple of the Chicago and U.S. music scene for 20 years will perform works by three American composers: Devonté Hynes, Jlin, and Águas da Amazônia by Philip Glass, a piece inspired by the aquatic sounds of the South American jungle.
