11th Macarenazo Festival

Under the theme “Living Roots, Memory, and Future of the Neighborhood,” the 11th Macarenazo Festival will be held on Sunday, September 7, 2025, in the La Macarena neighborhood in downtown Bogotá.

This traditional festival aims to continue positioning the area as an important tourist destination in the city, showcasing its diverse gastronomic, artisanal, historical, architectural, and cultural offerings. 

The Father

The Teatro Nacional presents the internationally award-winning play, which continues its run at the Teatro Nacional with more than 18,000 spectators and 60 successful performances. El Padre is a masterful tale about the fragility of memory and the struggle to hold on to one's identity when everything begins to fade away.

FRITANGAFEST

Fritanga Fest 2025: the festival that celebrates the flavors of our land. From August 7 to 10, Bogotá will be filled with tradition and flavor with the new edition of Fritanga Fest 2025. This festival highlights one of the most iconic dishes in Colombian cuisine. Chicharrón, morcilla, papa criolla, longaniza, yuca, ripe plantain, and other delicacies come together in a culinary offering that celebrates our roots and the gathering around food.

Bogotá Philharmonic Orchestra - An unbeatable trilogy: Blanca Uribe, Helvia Mendoza and Teresita Gómez

The Bogotá Philharmonic Orchestra pays tribute to three great Colombian pianists who left their mark on the history of classical music in the country: Blanca Uribe (Bogotá, born 1940), Helvia Mendoza (Cartagena, born 1936), and Teresita Gómez (Medellín, born 1943). In the concert program, each pianist will perform a solo piece with the orchestra, conducted by Carlos Ágreda: Uribe will perform Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 3, Mendoza will perform Mozart's Piano Concerto No. 20, and Gómez will perform Mendelssohn's Piano Concerto No. 1.
