You are invited to our tour, full of history and flavor, through the most emblematic streets of the Historic Center and Calle 11, where you will learn about the history and culture while visiting several iconic places that showcase the gastronomy of La Candelaria in Bogotá.

Food for Life is our second Alimentur tour of the Savannah. With Constanza González, who has more than 30 years of experience, you will discover the basis of the agricultural landscape, the waterways, and the interrelated knowledge that brings Tierra Verde to life. This space covers more than one acre and is the guardian of native seeds, vegetable production, Andean tubers, grains, herbs, and fruits. 

Alimentur through the Savanna, organic by nature

The Native Seeds Circuit will take you to the San Silvestre project in Tenjo, Cundinamarca. Here, you can learn about the family vegetable garden that preserves Andean crops, a true source of knowledge about the foods that have been the basis of the region's ancestral diet. In addition, we will have a variety of workshops on textiles, weaving, spinning, and essential oils, depending on the visitor's preference.

Every coffee bean tells a story of passion, tradition, and dedication. The aroma and flavor of freshly roasted coffee create a welcoming atmosphere that immerses you in tradition, in an experience that awakens all the senses.

Enjoy this experience at an agroecological coffee farm, guided by Isabel and her family. They will also surprise you with local snacks and fruits, smiles, and life stories, from planting the fruit to roasting it and transforming it into a delicious cup of coffee.

You will enjoy a unique experience on a cocoa farm, where the fascinating journey of cocoa comes to life. From planting to transformation into exquisite delicacies, this immersive experience connects you with the essence of this remarkable fruit and its impact on the community and the environment.

Come and transform cocoa just like our ancestors did.
Live a sensory and ancestral experience with Colombian cocoa. 

Learn to transform this sacred seed from the bean: roast, peel, grind, and knead it just as our ancestors did. You’ll exfoliate your hands (and optionally your face) with pure cacoa, discover its history, uses, and cultural significance in Colombian roots. At the end, you'll create your own cacoa balls to prepare hot chocolate and cacao tea at home.

Real chocolate Tasting

In this experience, you will learn to differentiate real chocolate from a substitute.

By tasting real cocoa-based chocolate, you will experience a variety of flavors and aromas activating your five senses.

 

In this tasting, you will explore the different percentages of cocoa and discover how they influence the flavor, aroma, and texture of the final chocolate.

It is a workshop focused on sharing the gastronomic flavors of the central region of Colombia. The participants will have the experience of learning how to prepare the typical santafereño chocolate.
