This trail invites you to discover an impressive cultural legacy, full of mysteries and ancestral wisdom, as you venture into a natural environment that will take your breath away.

It is a journey to the roots of our land. As you begin the hike, you will be surrounded by the beauty of the landscape, where lush vegetation and the sounds of nature create a magical atmosphere. 

On the Mogambo Environmental Trail, you will find 1,800 plant species from different regions and climatic zones of Colombia organized into 16 categories: Dye plants, medicinal plants, recreational plants, timber trees, food-wrapping plants, insecticidal plants, nut-bearing plants, ornamentals, soap-yielding plants, wax-yielding plants, traditional essences, construction materials, wild fruit trees, handicraft plants, and protein banks.

El Monte La MaMa is a space to relax, stay in direct contact with nature, and live in harmony with it and with yourself.

It is in the middle of a mountain, surrounded by a magical cloud forest, where you can appreciate enormous biodiversity. 

The nearest municipal capital is an hour away by car, and the village is a 30-minute walk. 

A few years ago, Monte La MaMa was a pasture used to raise cows. We restored it, trying to have as little impact as possible and preserve the sustainability of the environment.

As a result, you will learn about an agroecological system starting at the water source, walk along the La Pilama Creek, plant seeds, and enjoy the delights of Monte La MaM before visiting our Flavors Laboratory and the "Suelo Vivo" Biofactory.

Live and experience different agritourism practices in Bogotá and/or in the region, very close to the city and enjoy all that nature has to offer.
