The Muisca Indigenous Council of Bosa proudly announces the 25th Jizca Chía Zhue Festival, “El Tamuy de Bacatá,” a celebration that blends tradition, spirituality, and art to honor the Wedding of the Sun and the Moon. This is the 25th edition of the festival in its ancestral territory and the second edition since it was included in the Representative List of Intangible Cultural Heritage at the district level through Resolution No. 935 of December 15, 2023, issued by the Secretariat of Culture, Recreation, and Sports.
This recognition reaffirms the festival as a living expression of intangible cultural heritage, essential to the city’s identity.
How to get there?
As the events take place in different locations, we recommend checking the specific venue you wish to visit and finding the best route to get there—whether by private vehicle (and verifying nearby parking areas) or by public transport. If you’re using TransMilenio, check which station is closest to the site and which route you can take. Likewise, if you’re traveling by SITP, review the stops and routes that can take you there.
