Un Beso de Dick, directed by Daniel Galeano, is a free theater version of the book written by Fernando Molano.
Synopsis:
You always remember those kisses where everything else fades away. Boring classes, soccer games, the first parties... the first time, the premiere of Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back, new music from Mecano, Eurythmics, Miguel Bosé, Joe Arroyo, big hair, neon colors, hearts bursting out of pockets, secrets slipping from lips, and shot after shot of aguardiente. At one of those parties, Felipe and Leonardo discover, through a kiss, a different way of loving — one unlike anything they’ve known, and one that defies the time and place they live in: 1980s Bogotá.
Two teenage boys in their final year of high school, passionate about poetry, drawing, and soccer, popular with girls and admired by their classmates, find love in the last place they expected: in each other. As they navigate this unexpected connection amid the routines of school life, the truth eventually comes to light, triggering a wave of turmoil that leads to deep personal and family conflicts
Through the performances of seven actors and actresses, we’ll journey from laughter to tears, reliving moments familiar to anyone who has ever fallen in love, danced, or felt deeply in the vibrant 1980s. With musical numbers that transport us through time and scenes so relatable they’ll feel like our own, this is a trip down memory lane you won’t want to miss.
