MUSA ARCHAEOLOGICAL MUSEUM

The MUSA Museum is considered one of the country's most important centers for the custody of pre-Hispanic material culture. This place houses the largest and most diverse collection of pre-Columbian ceramic pieces in Colombia. Because of the collection's size and its vast cultural, geographical and chronological range, the museum is a crucial space for the study, admiration and care of the cultural heritage of Colombians.

Bogotá Cinematheque

In the historic center of Bogotá and very close to the Journalists' Park is the Bogotá Cinematheque or Cultural Center of Audiovisual Arts—the entity in charge of disseminating the cinematographic arts in the city. The first film festival was held in 1971, and films from different schools were screened, such as classical French cinema, the golden age, and German expressionism, among others. Samper Mendoza Market Place

Its history begins in 1935, originally 4 internal granaries and a materials warehouse were located there and it was known as the Plaza del Nordeste, a peasant market that arrived on trains from the municipalities of Sogamoso (Boyacá) and Barbosa (Santander). In 1956 it functioned as an urban transportation parking lot and finally became one of the most traditional herb markets in Colombia.

In October 2013, more than 60 peasant and indigenous families from Coyaima (Tolima) joined the plaza, selling tamale leaves in the lane located behind the Plaza de Paloquemao.
