The most important fashion event in our city is back: Bogotá Fashion Week (BFW), from May 20-22 at the Ágora Convention Center. In its eighth edition, the event will feature 140 designers and independent brands, who—after a rigorous curation and business training process—will showcase their creations, including accessories, leather goods, jewelry, underwear, swimwear, and activewear

"We at the Bogotá Chamber of Commerce are very excited about this new edition, which features a rich agenda and international guests. We continue to enhance the business rounds—the core of the program—by welcoming over 80 buyers and agents from 22 countries, including South Korea, the United States, and the United Arab Emirates. We anticipate more than 1,000 business appointments," said Ovidio Claros Polanco, the executive president of the Bogotá Chamber of Commerce (CCB). He emphasized that this edition has strengthened the participation of entrepreneurs from the popular economy, with 11 companies from Restrepo and San Victorino joining us

Runways and business
It is worth noting that this event not only promotes local talent but also attracts the professional attention of industry and international buyers such as Galeries Lafayette, Nordstrom, and Kirna Zabete. For three days, the community can enjoy local fashion at no cost through a rich agenda designed to generate global conversations and value for the industry
A total of 27 runway shows will feature collections from 45 designer brands. The opening show of this edition will be led by renowned designer Jorge Duque, who will present his collection Gabinete de curiosidades latinas (Cabinet of Latin Curiosities). The collection celebrates what’s popular in Colombian identity—a glamorous, powerful universe inspired by political upheaval, musical fusion, and the sacred and profane devotion to beauty.
Attendees will find the Multibrand Store, an open space for the public that serves as a direct marketing outlet where they can purchase items from participating brands. This section will also host a program of activities led by industry experts such as Franklin Ramos and Pilar Castaño.
TIn addition, there will be free public access to talks, lectures, workshops, and discussions focused on key issues within the fashion sector. Renowned personalities participating in these events include Jorge Duque, Ana Beliza Mercado (fashion editor, content creator, and designer), Monica Fonseca (journalist and co-founder of The Lab Girl), Amalia Andrade (writer), and Tamara Gonzalez Litman (analyst and fashion business strategist)
